Our Approach

Our Story

Inside Out Group does not just teach techniques, but integrates the curriculum into day to day living.  The sessions are taught by Marty Sholder, a healthcare executive with over a 35 year track record of running and building companies.  Marty blends the science of mindfulness with an understanding of emotional intelligence to bring a new self-awareness to employees.  He shares a multitude of stories  on the art of calming the mind and real life examples to address stress and anxiety at work and at home, and how to improve relationships with others.  And you can’t have a calm mind with a stressed body, so Marty, a certified yoga instructor, includes desk yoga poses to relax the tight muscles where we carry stress.

She taught for ten years at Rose Haggar Elementary School, five years in second grade and five years as team leader of the third grade. Amanda began practicing yoga in 2006 after much convincing. In the Fall of 2015 she took a 200-hour Yoga Teacher training at The Yoga Factory, a Baptiste Affiliate studio in Dallas, TX. The more work Amanda does with mindfulness the more she sees a need for this work in public education. As schools are promoting Social, Emotional needs for students she felt the same need exists for teachers. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.

In Amanda's free time she enjoys traveling, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing with her dog Charlie.
